CDX Managing Director looks to the future on anniversary of award
It has been three years since the Managing Director of CDX Security John Roddy was granted the Freedom of the City of London. The honour has only been bestowed to a select group of people and was given to John Roddy for his services to the Security industry.
The Freedom of the City of London ceremony was held at the Guildhall in London in the summer of 2014. The ceremony, on the date is was awarded, provided personal celebration for a twenty year record as a Detective in the GMP and a stellar subsequent Security career. And now, the anniversary comes as CDX Security goes from strength to strength as part of the Codex Services Group. CDX Security have hit many important milestones in only a relatively short space of time since John received the Freedom of the City of London.
The Freedom of the City of London gives the holder privileges such as, the right to carry a sword and to drove sheep which are now effectively symbolic. The award dates back to the 1200’s and has a lineage of award winners such as former Prime Minister, William Pitt the Younger.
The award also saw fellow CDX Security Directors Christian and Elliot Roddy in attendance to witness John receive the award. Christian thought the ceremony was a regal affair he said, “The whole day was brilliant and to see John swear an Oath really showed how significant the award was.”
John had this to say about the Freedom of the City of London “It was a complete honour and a privilege to be awarded the Freedom of the City of London. To have worked so hard in London over the years it was great to see that finally pay off.”
John went on to say, “Now it is about looking forward and really getting the CDX Security brand out there and making people proud to be associated with CDX.
